The solution contains 70% DMSO and 30% distilled water. 100% pure honey, in a proportion which are years of experimentation determined is optimal for most uses. Because this blend is so unique, and it has a "Patent Pending" status with the U.S. Patent Office. Our DMSO solution is ready to use- it is pre-mixed for optimal effect, AND IT WORKS GREAT.
Our DMSO Solution is a specially formulated solution of DMSO. It is a well established medical fact that DMSO reduces swelling, inflammation, and pain, as well as actually promotes healing of tissue at the cellular level. This amazing formulation is applied topically, similar to some of the various heat rubs, which provide a chemically induced heat to aid in reducing sore muscles, aches and pains
WHY HONEY?
When DMSO is applied topically, it is usually accompanied by a number of minor, side effects. Because DMSO is excellent at penetrating human skin and tissue, if you put it on your skin, you will usually taste a garlicky like taste in a few moments. Because of this characteristic, and the fact that DMSO breaks down in the human body, ones breath may smell a little like garlic, as may your body odor. The third, POSSIBLE, side effect is a tingling, or slight burning sensation, very similar to mild sunburn, on the areas of application, especially if DMSO is put on a tender area, such as the neck or face. Now, please understand, if you are in major pain, and have suffered physical injury, these are little prices to pay to secure the amazing relief that DMSO can, and usually will bring you, in a fairly short period of time at that. Nevertheless, there is a better way, and we have discovered it, after years of use and experimentation.
We selected honey as the ideal agent for two reasons.
1. Because honey lessens, and usually eliminates most of the unpleasant side effects of using DMSO. When you use our DMSO solution, you usually do not experience the bad breath, taste or body odor, and the burning sensation is either entirely eliminated, or greatly reduced. 2. Honey is the ideal adjunct because it is so symbiotic with DMSO. Honey, like DMSO, is a naturally occurring product, with its own curative abilities, in its own right. Honey also helps moisturize and soothe the skin. The literature indicates that honey is also antibacterial, and antifungal - have you ever seen honey with mold? No! Honey does not appear to spoil, even if not refrigerated, it does not get moldy; all it does is crystallize, which can be reversed by heating. Honey does not need to be refrigerated to stay fresh. Remember bees store honey outdoors, in their hives. The accompanying literature will supply you with additional information on honey, another of nature's miracle products.
If you choose to use DMSO like we do! (DMSOS is not approved my the FDA for topical use)
-Apply the solution with a cotton ball, pad, or even the fingers, to the area to be treated. -Put on an ample coating, but not enough that it drips off, and cover the areas surrounding the injured area also, for a couple of inches. -If you wish more rapid absorption, you can softly rub the area. If you choose to do this, don't rub too much, or too hard, as you can irritate the skin. If you use your fingers, which I do a lot, you don't even have to wash it off - just rub it into your hands. It helps them and aids the tissues and joints, so why waste it? Don't do this too often as the cuticles, which is dead skin, will come off. It is a little scary at first, however they grow back fairly quickly. -If you apply it a lot with the fingers, which I do, just rinse them off for a second or two with running water. You won't have any problem. -Don't contaminate the bottle. Always pour some solution into a small glass, cup, or other container, and apply from this container. -You don't have to throw out the cotton ball, or pad after each application- just drop it in the glass with the DMSO you poured out, until you are going to apply it again later. DMSO can absorb things from the air. Within a few minutes you will notice the solution being absorbed into the skin. -If you do notice some stinging (this may be accompanied by some redness), especially in very tender areas, such as the neck and face, it usually goes away in just a few minutes. The sooner you apply the DMSO solution to the injured area, after injury, the quicker the healing process can begin, and some of the pain and tissue damage can actually be curtailed, and much of the bruising eliminated. -After the initial application, an additional application can be made after one half hour to one hour. You can continue applying the solution thereafter, every hour, or several hours, until the desired relief is obtained. -This is quite an individual thing, and varies from injury to injury and from area to area, and, sometimes, even person to person. You can, and will, experiment on yourself and you will shortly determine what works for you. If you have chronic arthritis, or other pain, you may end up using an application, or two, every day to ease the pain, or keep the pain away entirely. -It would be hard to use too much DMSO solution, as it is classified as one of the safest products known. DMSO is naturally present in many of our food products and it has even been conjectured that it most likely exists naturally in human tissue. It is also stated that its derivative, MSM is definitely found at the cellular level (see the literature). -If you use it too often on any given area, or rub too hard, about the only problem you will incur is a little burning and redness. --After several days, though this is rare, except in the most tender areas, you may also notice some of the surface skin peeling, or flaking off, just like in mild sunburn. Again, a small price to pay. Also, I am talking about more sensitive areas, which are almost always above the shoulders, unless you are very fair skinned, or you are one of the very, very rare individuals who are extra sensitive to DMSO. -I have used the DMSO solution on all body areas, with the only exception being intentionally putting it in my eyes. Almost without exception, the only times it stings is occasionally when I apply it to my neck or face, and that does not last long.
ITCHING: If you do put it on too often, rub too hard, or use it on a very tender, thin skinned area, and get the burning sensation and redness, you may also notice some itching - yes, just like in a case of mild sunburn. If this occurs you can use some pure, high quality, skin cream, or plain old honey. If you use skin cream, just make sure it does not have many chemical additives, as they will also be absorbed into the skin, if you are continuing to apply the DMSO solution br>
Cost and pricing Our prices are not the lowest, and they are far from the highest. Keep in mind, you will be purchasing a very high grade and quality of DMSO You will also be receiving the DMSO solution in the best, safest possible, container; glass bottles. As DMSO is somewhat light sensitive, supply it in "amber" glass bottles, Glass does cost more than plastic, BUT IT IS WORTH IT.
NOTE: Some suppliers use industrial grade DMSO in their formulations, because it is cheaper. Some have been using it for years. We cannot advise this, as there may be some impurities and dangerous reactions. We use only ultra pure, high grade, DMSO, so you are safe and protected. Our 8oz DMSO comes in an amber glass bottle. DSMO absorbs anything is comes in contact with. Never purchase DMSO, or any products containing DMSO, in plastic bottles.
