HCG Protocol

Take HCG at the same time every day. Tap bottle 10 times before each dose. Do not eat or drink for 30 minutes before or after taking your HCG drops.
Set yourself up for success!! Read all instructions before starting and follow the directions!
Each phase is important for your success. Deviating from this protocol will result in more hunger, greater headaches, and weight gain. The closer you stick to the protocol, the better the results will be.
Phase 1(Pre Diet) Completing a two week cleanse before starting your drops or supplements. This will help remove toxins that prevent HCG effectiveness and helps kill Candida which causes weight gain and hunger. Do not take any supplements during the cleansing phase. If you are not going to the bathroom, a colon cleanse is right for you. If you are going to the bathroom everyday, we recommend a body cleanse or Candida cleanse.
Phase 1 -Day 1 and 2: Take HCG and gorge on healthy, high fat foods. Cheese, whole milk, ice cream, nuts, avocados, peanut butter etc. Eat as much healthy high fat foods as possible. This will open your fat reserves to help flush out fat and also release nutrients for less hunger when you start your low calorie diet. Treat yourself to a few tasty foods you will not be eating in the next few weeks. Yes- start your HCG drops during this time and your supplements.
Phase 2- Starting with Day 3: Take HCG and follow a 800 calorie diet plan for up to 40 days (except during menstruation - during menstruation Dr. Simeons advised to not take HCG, but to continue the 800 calorie diet). Eliminate all fat from your diet. This includes any skin or hair care products with oil. Continue taking all your supplements. Supplements are important for keeping your strength up and help you burn more fat! Don't forget, the more clean (non-tap) water you drink, the more weight you will lose! (2 to 3 liters a day)
Phase 3 - Maintenance: Most important phase of this diet.
Follow 800 calories first two days after stopping HCG
1st 3 weeks after stopping HCG: All foods are allowed except starches and sugars.
2nd 3 weeks after stopping HCG: Very gradually add starches and sugars in small quantities.
Small Breakfast is allowed. Up to 4 eggs whites or a low fat or fat free protein shake. Drink Organic Yerba Mate or Oolong Tea with Organic Stevia in any quantity throughout the day. These teas will help boost metabolism. Only 1 Tbsp. milk in 24 hours.
Lunch
1. 6 oz’s of veal, beef, chicken breast, turkey, lobster, crab, canned tuna (in water, oil is not acceptable) or shrimp. Any White fish: Flounder, Wild Chilean Sea Bass, Sole, Grouper and Halibut. Perch, cod, haddock, and trout. Trim off all fat and weigh raw. Meat must be boiled or grilled without additional fat. Salmon, eel, herring, dried or pickled fish are not allowed. Whey or Rice Protein shakes are allowed.(They must contain no sugar, low carbs -3,-2 grams of fat and no artificial ingredients.
2. One type of vegetable only, chosen from the following (Up to two cups per meal): Tomato, Celery, Cabbages, Asparagus, Chard, Lettuce Spinach, Cucumbers, Onion, Radishes, Beet Greens, Turnips, Turnip greens. Bamboo shoots, Cauliflower, Celery, Green beans, Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, Chard Swiss, Eggplant, Okra, Green and Red peppers Kale. Mushrooms, Squash (Yellow & Summer), Watercress and Zucchini
3. An apple, orange, one half of a grapefruit or a handful of strawberries. Or a handful of Honeydew Melon, Cantaloupe, Blackberries, Blueberries, Apricot and Boysenberries.
Dinner
The same choices as above but chose different foods for dinner then you had at lunch
The juice of one lemon is allowed daily. Salt, pepper, vinegar, mustard powder, garlic, sweet basil, parsley, thyme, marjoram, HCG approved seasoning and dressing are allowed.
Tea, coffee, plain water or mineral water are the only drinks allowed. You should drink at least 2 liters of these fluids per day NO Crystal Lite or anything with artificial sweetener! Artificial sweeteners make us fat and hungry? Stevia, chicory root and xylitol are healthy options.
Other supplies you will need to follow the HCG protocol- B-12 drops, Acidophilus, Digestive Enzymes, potassium & Iodine, whole food supplement, Organic Yerba Mate green tea, Stevia (sweetener) Candida cleanse or body cleanse. So you've checked out the great success people have had loosing weight on Dr. Simeons HCG Diet. You want to go on this diet yourself but are concerned about the 500 calories you have to limit yourself to. Phase 2 approved updates:

* EGG WHITE BREAKFAST ALTERNATIVES:
More than a few dieters have reported an allergy or intolerance to egg whites. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AN INTOLERANCE OR ALLERGY, please do not substitute. My protocol food studies only utilized egg whites with our patients for breakfast. You may enjoy adding Sonia's HCG Salsa to them for flavor. (many dieters report the salsa tastes delicious)
After careful consideration and detailed research on allowable phase 2 product ingredients, I have approved the following egg white alternatives on an "experimental" basis. The majority of dieters report consistent losses using the following products listed below:
OPTION 1: Jay Robb Whey Protein Isolate shake may be substituted in place of 3 eggwhites for breakfast only. Please add 1 serving of fruit. OPTION 2: LOW SODIUM 4% Cottage Cheese is an approved protein substitute if you have an intolerance to egg whites and whey protein isolate. You may have a 4 oz. serving and no more than 140mg of sodium allowed in a 4 oz. serving. These brands are low in sodium: Lucerne, Friendship and Hood manufacturers. You will most likely retain water if you do not pay attention to the sodium content. Make sure to add 1 fruit serving.
*If you experience a stall for 3 or more days, discontinue the egg white alternative immediately.
Why Whey Protein Isolate? Whey protein isolate shakes are a great alternative food for those with egg allergy or an intolerance. Whey protein isolate contains only 1 percent of lactose compared to whey protein concentrate that can have up to 30% lactose. If you are sensitive, even 1 percent can make you feel bloated and gassy. Taking whey protein isolate while on the hCG diet will not cause weight gain, its quite the opposite. Whey protein isolate assists in preventing muscle loss, increases energy and metabolism which will cause your body to naturally burn more calories daily. In addition, studies have proven that whey protein isolate controls blood sugar levels and is recommended for diabetics by physicians. Whey protein has also been proven in studies to increase fat burning in the belly area and thighs.
*VEGGIE TOPPERS
There are 2 types of vegetables in the 800 calorie protocol. Dark green fiber rich broccoli and water veggies. celery. Water veggies are mainly made of water and do not provide a whole lot of nutritional value. They can be added to your egg whites for breakfast such as preparing an hcg salsa topper. They can be added to your lunch salad, smothered over breast of chicken, or stuffed in a green bell pepper.
What exactly are the allowable "WATER VEGGIE" toppers?
Tomato, cucumber, celery, green leaf lettuce and white onion.
What exactly are green fiber rich veggies?
Any green vegetable ie. asparagus, spinach, broccoli, green beans, cabbage etc... You are required to eat 1 cup serving of cooked green fiber rich veggies for lunch and for dinner. Veggies have been proven to increase digestion and assist with weight loss.
*Please do NOT substitute a whole tomato or cucumber as your veggie serving. These are "water veggies" that are just toppers on your egg whites or salad. They are not green fiber rich vegetables that assist in digestion.

HCG SLOW WEIGHT LOSS AND PLATEAU
The average weight loss for our bottle is 21lbs. However if you can dedicate yourself to the exact protocol your weight loss with be greater! If you are in this range, then you are right on track. There are a few reasons for slower weight loss or a plateau. This is totally normal and will pass. The more you educate yourself the greater the success!!
Remember besides losing weight... Candida is the #1 cause of hunger while on the HCG. A two week Candida cleanse is recommend before starting the HCG to help prevent hunger.
You must realize that it is not a question of if you will plateau on HCG, but when you will plateau. Almost everyone will eventually plateau so it is not something that you should become unnecessarily upset about. It will likely happen and there are several reasons why and equally as many ways you can correct the problem.
A plateau is considered to have been met when you have gone four or five days without losing any weight. HCG is a very strict procedure and any change from the proper protocol can result in hitting a plateau.
Reasons For Slow Weight Loss:
1. Did you cleanse first? This is very important for removing toxins out of your body and will allow the HCG to work it to its full potential.
2. Are you eating grocery store meat. Sorry, way to many growth hormones, so eliminate grocery store meat and shrimp. Always buy your meat from a local market.
3. Are you taking medications with the side effect of "weight gain". (Which is most prescription meds) Your weight loss may not be as great as someone not taking medication, however do not let this discourage you. Any weight loss will create a healthier you!
4. Eliminate the bread portion of the diet. We have left the Melba toast off our protocol. We find regular Melba toast causes many people to stall. Organic thin crackers are preferred.
5. Are you taking your Iodine supplement. Very important for thyroid health! All supplements are important, so make sure you are taking them for optimal body performance. Taking Iodine and your required supplements also prevents hair loss.
6. Keep your bowels moving. If you are not going to the bathroom completely, this will make your weight go up. Smooth Move tea every few days may be needed. Magnisum before bed will also help keep thins moving.
7. The more water you drink, the more weight you will lose!
Why Do You Stop Losing Weight:
* You cheated on the diet. This is the main reason why you may reach a plateau. You have to follow the HCG protocol exactly.
* Additives in the chicken you prepare. Be sure to purchase only chicken that has not been injected with hormones or other additives.
* You have passed the immunity stage. There is a point at which your body grows immune to HCG. This is the main reason why the procedure is limited to 26 or 40 days. after this there is a waiting period before starting another phase if you need to lose more weight.
* You have reached your ideal weight. HCG is not meant to produce a body weight that is significantly below the weight recommended for your height and body shape.
* Starting new medications. Consult your doctor if you reach a plateau after changing or starting new medications.
* Using cosmetics. The body will absorb the oils and additives used in cosmetics and creams. You must refrain from using any cosmetics during your treatment.
These are only a few of the reasons why you may reach an HCG Plateau. When you do not lose any weight for four or five days think back and try to recall what you may have changed to bring about this stop in weight loss.
What Can Be Done When You Hit An HCG Plateau?
* The Apple Day Procedure. This procedure consists of eating nothing for twenty-four hours except apples. You are permitted six apples starting at noon on one day and finishing at noon the following day. You should also limit your water consumption to just enough to quench your thirst. * The Steak day. With this procedure you eat nothing all day until supper time. You may then have a steak, with all fat removed, with an apple or a tomato.
* Increase your consumption of water.
* Check for sugar in your food. Sugar is often added to many different food products. Check all food purchases for sugar and other additives.
* Get some mild form of exercise such as walking every day. However avoid any strenuous exercises like running as it will result in more water retention.
* Take two tablespoons of diluted apple cider vinegar.
Expect to reach a plateau during your HCG treatment but realize it is only a temporary situation and you will soon return to your regular daily weight loss.

Here are the best hCG diet plateau breaking tips that have been found to be very effective when following the hCG Diet Protocol. Many of the plateau breakers listed can be utilized in both Phase 2 and 3.
NEW! Cantaloupe Plateau Breaker: At bedtime, eat half of a medium sized cantaloupe (make sure to cut it yourself) and drink 1 full glass of water right before you lay down to sleep. You should lose between 0.5-3 pounds the following morning. Eating cantaloupe assists in pulling water out of the fat cell and this action works best while you are asleep. For dieters on the 500 calorie protocol, the 1/2 cantaloupe at bedtime will be your second fruit of the day. For dieters on the 800 calorie protocol, the 1/2 cantaloupe at bedtime will be your third fruit of the day. There is a 99% success rate for both protocols in P2. It really works!

Dieters following the 800 calorie hCG diet protocol may particpate in some light resistance training or 30 minutes of low impact aerobics only as tolerated. However, it is best to wait until you have finished the Phase 2 HCG therapy. For P2.
Increase your fluid intake to 3 quarts per day. Additional fluids will assist in promoting adequate digestion, help prevent constipation and may help to flush out toxins and fat. If you are not drinking enough water daily, your body will store water as a means of protection. For P2 and P3.
Try increasing your protein by half an ounce. You may not be eating enough calories per day. Avoid consuming less than 500 calories daily because your body may store fat or you may not lose any weight. In some cases you may actually gain. For P2.
Limit eating red meat to only 1 or 2 times per week. Red meat digests slowly in the bowel and may slow down weight loss. For P2 and P3.
Make sure you are not using garlic salt or salt substitutes. Garlic powder and sea salt are acceptable. Products such as Mrs. Dash and No Salt are forbidden. For P2.
Do not mix green vegetables. For example; do not mix asparagus and cabbage together. However, you can mix vegies in your salad such as lettuce, tomato, and onion. Just remember that green vegetables should not be mixed. For P2.
Discontinue Grissini bread sticks, Melba toast and Wasa crackers. For P2.
Do not eat the same protein, vegetable or fruit more than once in the same day. For example; do not eat tilapia for lunch and dinner or half a grapefruit for breakfast and the other half for lunch. Metabolism increases when the body has different foods to break down and digest. For P2 and P3.
Make sure there are no antibiotics, flavor enhancers or added rib meat in your chicken or other protein sources. For P2 and P3.
Do not eat any canned food products. Many canned food products contain high fructose corn syrup, preservatives and flavor enhancers that may slow down weight loss. For P2 and P3.
Make sure you buy your proteins raw and without any marinades. For P2 and P3.
For women, your menstrual cycle may cause a water weight gain of 2-5 pounds. Be aware of the date of your last menstrual cycle and never begin the hCG diet right when you start your period. For P2.
If you are not having regular bowel movements, a fiber supplement such as over the counter Senna is highly recommended to be taken daily. It is possible to hold 5 or more pounds of stool in the colon. High protein low fat diets most often will cause constipation. If you have not had a bowel movement for 5 days, an over the counter laxative suppository should be taken. If you do not experience relief then please contact your doctor's office for further instruction.
Raw Unfiltered Organic Apple Cider Vinegar is the star condiment on this diet. If you suffer from acid reflux or just dislike the taste, consider taking Apple Cider Vinegar Capsules found at most health food stores.
