The Lungs control Qi. By increasing and decreasing the rate and depth of respiration, one can control one’s energy. If the Lungs are weak, breathing is shallow, constricted or otherwise weak and deficient. If the Lungs are strong and vital, the breathing is long, quiet and deep and the body fills with energy. Tremella Mushroom
Tremella mushroom is a widely used edible fungus and is a precious tonic herb. It is rich in vitamins and minerals. Tremella is sweet, mild and non-toxic. Tremella strengthens the vital energy, harmonizes the blood, stimulates the heart and nourishes the brain. It enriches the Kidneys, strengthens semen, relieves Yin deficiency, lubricates the Lungs, promotes the secretion of saliva, nourishes the stomach, is able to lubricate the intestines, and stops coughing. It is anti-pyretic.
Glehnia Root
Glehnia has Yin properties that are useful in Yin deficiency syndrome, manifesting as dry cough, dry mouth and irritability. It may be combined with other yin herbs such as American Ginseng, Ophiopogon, Asparagus root, etc., to replenish fluids.
Adenophora Root
Adenophora Root has similar properties to Glehnia Root and even looks very similar. It is very useful for resolving and dissolving heated phlegm.
Schizandra Berry

Ophiopogon Tuber
