L-Lysine and Vitamin-C; The Fountain of Youth?

In the world of supplements and cosmetics the ultimate goal is to slow the progression of aging. Whether it’s for the sake of appearance, performance or just not wanting to fork out the dough for costly medical bills later, staying younger for longer is what it’s all about. So what does one take that actually works?  If it works it must be very expensive, right? Believe it or not, the basics are not only overlooked and underestimated but also pretty affordable. A simple stack of L-lysine and Vitamin-c does wonders for our cardiovascular health, joints, skin, hair and appearance. Taken faithfully over a period of a month should be enough time to demonstrate its penchant for reversing age associated discomforts and the results will stand before you in the mirror. How many folks do you know who are taking statins to reduce their infamous cholesterol? Well the reason their bodies are making so much Cholesterol (yes, our bodies Make the stuff) is simply oxidative damage.

Most of us are fully aware of the dangers we expose ourselves to in the form of cigarettes, alcohol, fried foods and most of all Sugar. These substances raise our inflammation levels substantially. The damage is done and the liver gets to work patching up the cracks. Wouldn’t it make sense to prevent the damage rather than repair it? I think most would agree that the best way to do this is the natural way. By combining the amino acid L-lysine and the all-powerful Vitamin-C we are giving the body the protection it needs to work on making a stronger, healthier, younger looking and feeling body as opposed to wasting valuable resources on repairing preventable damage.

So if you’re after healthier skin, bones, teeth, heart, joints, reduced inflammation and a more positive mood you don’t have to spend a fortune. Goals like this will cost you less than a sugar habit and yield much more desirable effects.

How do Salt Lamps Work Actually?

Salt lamps do not generate negative ions themselves. They are “hygroscopic,” which means that they attract moisture… humidity… airborne water molecules; it is a natural property of sodium chloride (hygroscopy). Since they do not generate the negative ions, they need a heat source (in this case, heat from an incandescent bulb) to accelerate evaporation, which does produce negative ions. In more humid regions, an unlit salt lamp will eventually “cry,” even creating puddles of water at its base. It is this evaporation that generates the negative ions, which are beneficial to our health.

Besides Ions, What Else are Salt Lamps Used For?

Numerous customers have purchased our salt lamps as a beautiful light source “ they can be sold as living energy sources which emit a healthy glow, ranging in color light-waves of oranges, yellows, reds and apricot. The ambient light creates a soothing ambiance that helps with relaxation, stress, attention deficit and more.

Now, NAC, Capsule, Rebekah's Health & Nutrition

What You Need to Know about (NAC): N-Acetyl Cysteine

For more than three decades, a safe, low-cost compound has provided millions of people relief from the coughing, wheezing, and thick phlegm associated with cold and flu. Of course, pharmaceutical companies long ago co-opted it for profit by incorporating it into various patented drugs.

The sad consequence is that most aging individuals have never heard of it. Even many doctors remain unaware of its potential role as a front-line defense against some of today’s most deadly public health threats, including:

  • Acetaminophen toxicity and acute liver failure: the number one cause of acute liver failure in the United States.1
  • Influenza: whose victims are primarily aging individuals—three quarters of all flu-related deaths occur in the elderly.2
  • Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease: the fourth-leading cause of death in the United States (includes emphysema and chronic bronchitis).2
  • Helicobacter pylori: the bacterial culprit behind stomach ulcers, and a potentially lethal pathogen closely linked to malignant gastric cancer, the second most frequent cause of cancer death worldwide

Other benefits of NAC

  • Long relegated to infrequent use in unusual circumstances, the amino acid-derived compound N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) has drawn increased scientific attention.
  • NAC replenishes levels of the intracellular antioxidant glutathione (GSH), which is often deficient with advancing age and in chronic illness.
  • NAC also regulates expression of scores of genes in the pathways that link oxidative stress to inflammation.
  • These dual effects give NAC a unique role in the prevention and treatment of many common diseases, both acute and chronic.
  • NAC can protect against avian influenza and more common seasonal flu symptoms.
  • NAC reduces the frequency and duration of attacks of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and may slow the clinical course of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF).
  • NAC protects tissues from the effects of exercise-induced oxidative stress, adding value and safety to your workout.
  • NAC improves insulin sensitivity in people with some of the most difficult-to-treat metabolic disorders.
  • NAC blocks cancer development at virtually every step in the process, and through multiple mechanisms, making it an important cancer chemopreventive agent.
  • NAC fights the stomach infection Helicobacter pylori on two fronts, inhibiting the organism’s growth while reducing production of inflammatory cytokines that can lead to gastritis and cancer.
  • Though most individuals gain benefits from 600-1,800 mg/day, clinical studies have found that doses of up to 2,000 mg/day are safe and effective. A recent study demonstrated the safety of 2,800 mg/day for 3 months in patients with COPD.

Cold, Flu, Allergy, Rebekah's Health and Nutrition

Cold and Flu Season is Upon us

There are more than 200 viruses that cause colds. Colds are not caused by bacteria, which means that antibiotics…designed to treat bacterial infections, are useless against them. Treating a cold with antibiotics not only wont work, it lowers the immune system and destroys gut health. Long term.. this will make a person more sick and more often.

It is often frustrating to see doctors prescribe antibiotics for colds and flu. Many times the client demands them. With all the antibiotics in food, water and skin care, many times antibiotics don’t even work for bacterial infection anymore. At some point around 40-50 years old, many folks get sick and tired of being sick and tired. That’s when they come see us. At this point I call it reversing age. Once all the prescription drugs are out of a persons system… they start to feel and look 100++ % better.

So what are the options for a bacterial or viral infection like bronchitis, pneumonia, sinus infection etc- Allicillin, Oregano and/or Monolarine are just a few of my favorites. Not only do they kill viruses, bacteria and fungus they also have many other health benefits.

Tip of the day:
When a child or adult gets sick… it boosts their immune system a little bit each and every time. It makes them stronger and healthier. This is not the case if an antibiotic is used. Antibiotics are a must for life threatening infections and disease like Lyme and Mrsa. But to boost the immune system, you must let a cold or flu run its course.

Best of health to you all!

Silkworm Cardiology?

Ask your cardiologist about Proteolytic enzymes. Unfortunately, this may be a lot like ordering Chinese at a French restaurant. They probably don’t know what it is so they’re definitely not putting it on the menu. The term “Proteolytic Enzymes” refers to a group of protein dissolving enzymes that eat away dead undesirable deposits like scar tissue, arthritic joints or the calcified crud that builds up in our arteries. This amazing stuff is produced by silkworms to eat their way out from their cocoons. What does this mean to you?  It means lower blood pressure, reduced joint pain, increased joint mobility, improved memory, uterine/breast fibroid reduction or elimination and lower inflammation levels to name a few benefits.
